SUGAR COOKIES RECIPE
Here’s our go-to cookie recipe! It’s easy to make and works perfectly with Custom and Portrait cookie cutters and any other designs with imprint.
INGREDIENTS
▪️ Butter - ¾ cup room temperature (170–180 g / 6–7 oz)
▪️ Flour - 2½ cups (300 g) + extra flour for rolling and cutting
▪️ Sugar - 1 cup (200 g / 7 oz)
▪️ 1 Egg
or egg substitute: 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 3 tbsp water
▪️ Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
▪️ Vanilla extract (optional) -1 teaspoon
NOTE: You can also use a gluten-free all-purpose flour blend instead of regular flour. The results will be very similar.
STEPS
Mix Butter + Sugar together.
Add the egg (or cornstarch + water mixture) and beat on low or medium speed.
Mix the Flour and Baking powder in a separate bowl.
Mix all ingredients together and beat on low speed until a dough forms.
Wrap the dough in cling film and place it in the fridge for 30–40 minutes.
Roll out the dough and cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 9–11 minutes, until the cookies are set but still light in color.
